Rachael's Freedom

“Sir?” Rachael said to get Max’s attention
“What is it Rachel? I’m pretty busy” Max replied
“Don’t worry sir this won’t take long” she replied
“Ok speak but be quick” he answered not even glancing at her
A blood curdling scream filled the air that caused even Max to clutch his ears in pain. Once it finished he turned around to see Rachael holding two lumps of flesh, he watched as blood poured down her wrists from the gaping wounds. She had removed the slave markings that bound her to Max’s service. “Rachael what in the ten levels of hell are you doing?” he immediately called for assistance but with a glare everyone who tried to get near kept there distance
“Max this is important. I am no longer a slave in your service” hearing this Max was shocked but before he could say anything she got onto one knee and bowed her head. “I pledge my undying service to you Maxamillion Rastis Betalon for as long as I exist, I am no longer your slave but your willing servant”
Max smiled and a tear ran down his face and he hugged her “thank you Rachel and I’m sorry I didn’t release you earlier. I am so sorry”
“That’s ok Max but I would really appreciate that assistance now” she said with a wry and exhausted smile
Max stepped back conjuring the power to heal her, his smile continuing “I’ll see to you myself”
