The Gatkeeper sat beside the gate that was charged to him to protect and guard. He was having a nice relaxing day when a bandit in leather armour came up and said “let me in, or I’ll kill you and then go in”
The Gatekeeper shrugged and the bandit made his move and charged. In two swings of his halberd the Gatekeeper had the bandit on his back with his halberd at the interloper’s throat. “Friend, I am the Gatekeeper, I guard the gate and I hold all the keys you would be foolish to think I would be a mere guard”
With a twist the Gatekeeper finished off the bandit and sat to watch and wait for in the knowledge of a day’s work well done.

Ok i wrote this in response to getting a job as a System Administrator with the better ones sometimes being known as Gate Keepers. Short scene not really based in any universe just a little story. Hope you enjoy
